The Yankee Dental Conference

Dr. Robert J. Winebrenner has been practicing dentistry for forty years, and is a member of the American Dental Association, the American Association of Cosmetic Dentistry, and the Maryland State Dental Association, but still has a burning desire to continue learning. In late January, Dr. Winebrenner attended a four day dental conference in Boston called the Yankee Dental Conference.

During the course of this conference, Dr. Winebrenner took three classes - aesthetic dentistry, smile design, and restoring severely worn teeth. Dr. Winebrenner stated that he learned several new things such as implant techniques, modern dental materials, and designing smiles. Because materials are always changing in dentistry, Dr. Winebrenner is always learning something new.

Dr. Winebrenner also practices smile design at Valley Dental Associates. Smile design is a form of dentistry where a smile is redesigned to fit the face, lips, bite, and tooth size of the patient. The entire process takes about three months, and it leaves everyone happy.

Cosmetic dentistry is an important part of any dental practice. At Valley Dental Associates, Dr. Winebrenner does porcelain veneers, porcelain crowns, onlays, tooth colored fillings, and, of course, smile design.

Dr. Winebrenner's passion to learn keep him active in the dental society. In May, he will be attending another conference in Washington DC, to learn even more. He is always eager to learn new, update procedure and techniques. He truly enjoys being challenged and creating new smiles!
